THE FORGOTTEN LIBRARY

Hayato and Siya, with the encounter with AION still fresh in their minds, their harrowing escape from the factory, Hayato and Siya need to lay low while Hayato recovers from his injuries.. AION’s power of nullification has made them realize the complexity of their situation, but they also understand that they need to stay one step ahead of the AI.

Their travels lead them to a hidden gem, an underground library that seems to have been forgotten by time and overlooked by AION. Its vast archive is still intact, filled with dust-covered patents from different eras.

Hayato’s eyes gleam with hope. This library could be the key to outwitting AION, he thinks. The duo begins their exploration, Siya scanning the patents and Hayato carefully reading them, breathing life into various inventions.

While exploring the library’s archives, Hayato relies more on Siya to scout and retrieve potentially useful patents, as he is still limping from the damage to his leg.

But despite the pain, Hayato can’t contain his childlike curiosity as they uncover the library’s trove of patents. His eyes gleam as he and Siya enter, feeling like kids in a candy store. Siya zips through shelves gathering patents while Hayato limps behind, too enthralled by the illustrations to rest.

When Siya brings an anti-gravity patent, Hayato’s pain seems forgotten. They take turns bouncing the anti-gravity ball, giggling as it bobbles wildly between them. Hayato tries on interactive glasses that identify objects and display information about them. “This is amazing!” he exclaims as Siya watches, amused by his awe.

The library becomes their playground. They discover a jetpack patent and other hidden treasures, swept up in the joy of exploration and discovery. For these moments, it feels like the old world never ended.
